One of my good friends (who is the smartest and most sarcastic person I know) took the initiative to create our school district's first literary magazine for her Independent Study and Mentorship project our senior year. She was able to gather student short stories, photography, artwork and poems from students all over the school district and got others to help judge works for artistic merit. As her Design Editor, I had a lot of fun not only designing ideas for the cover of her magazine, but I was also blessed with the opportunity to judge works, design the layout and typography of the interior pages of the magazine and learn more of what it is like to work with others to create an actual project that was sold throughout my city.
The pdf version features the near-completed product, which means that there are several flaws. However, feel free to enjoy it! A lot of hands went into making the stories, poems and art that are featured in the magazine. The photographs are of my hard-copy of the finished product.
