Graphic DesignMy last course in graphic design was in high school, but my work in graphic design didn't end there. From working as a graphic designer at the University of Texas at Dallas' Multicultural Center to research lab logo designing, I have been lucky to refine my skills in graphic design in nearly all the organizations I am a part of.
To be quite honest, I did not care much for digital design before I took classes on graphic design. I've seen more than enough obviously photoshopped pictures and poorly designed works that I frowned whenever I heard the word "photoshop." This is not to say that some of my digital works couldn't fall into the "bad photoshop" category as well (for categorizing art is a matter largely based on personal opinion), but rather that graphic design can easily go wrong. However, I have found that creating powerful digital design does take skill, practice and effort. By working with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom, I have become more adept with technology and with learning about a separate realm of art that I have barely started to discover. |
